Updated: Aug 18, 2022

Are you looking for the perfect Lupus diet plan? Are you looking for the best Lupus Nutritionist or best Lupus Dietitian?

Look no further!!! I’m getting tons of new traffic to my site so I wanted to lay out some basics and establish how I can help you!

  1. I am a Lupus dedicated Dietitian Nutritionist! That means I’ve worked with thousands of people trying to figure out their best diet plan. Now I specifically help people living with Lupus and other autoimmune diseases!

  2. I am a Lupus warrior myself! I had many Lupus symptoms like skin rash, joint and muscle pain, fatigue, joint swelling, and others. I was diagnosed with Lupus 8 years ago. Through diet, lifestyle, and collaborative management with my doctors, I’ve been FLARE FREE for 6.5 years!!!!

  3. There is a lot of Lupus misinformation out there! They hear about a new celebrity like Nick Cannon being diagnosed with Lupus but then there’s really no explanation of the disease itself! Don’t stay confused or in the dark about Lupus!

  4. Lupus, specifically SLE - systemic lupus erythematosus - is a whole body disease. It can affect any organ system and symptoms include all of the following:

Extreme fatigue (feeling tired all the time)

Pain or swelling in the joints

Swelling in the hands, feet, or around eyes

Raynaud’s syndrome

Headaches

Low fevers

Sensitivity to sunlight or fluorescent light

Chest pain when breathing deeply

Brain fog

Rashes - rashes or lesions; can be red, scaly and cause scarring and discoloration

5. There are other types of Lupus:

  1. SLE is the most common type, affecting >70% of people diagnosed with Lupus.

  2. Cutaneous lupus - included discoid Lupus. The most famous celebrity with this type is the amazing artist Seal (Heidi Klum’s ex-husband)

  3. Drug-Induced Lupus

  4. Neonatal Lupus
